Heat is the first thing anyone notices about these two, and both usually clock it within the first hour. Two Fixed signs squared off at ninety degrees generate friction you can feel from across a room — attraction laced with irritation, fascination that keeps snagging on the question of who holds the power. Fire and Water don't blend; they contend. Scorpio's depth and control meet Leo's need for open air and applause, and each keeps striking a wall right where the other is most immovable.

Neither one yields

The Fixed-on-Fixed stubbornness is the engine of it. Neither yields. Leo wants to be adored out loud; Scorpio wants to possess, probe, and keep the real cards face-down — and when they lock horns it becomes a siege where both would sooner suffer than concede. That's the upside worth naming. When these two commit, the loyalty runs ferocious on both sides — two signs that refuse to do things partway, pouring everything in. In love it can be intensely passionate, the pull strong enough to outlast the clashes, provided both stop trying to win. In friendship it's a bond that gets tested and, if it holds, becomes unshakeable: Scorpio respects Leo's courage, Leo respects Scorpio's depth, once the ego contest cools. The heat forges something real or it simply burns — the difference is whether either can let the other be right sometimes.
