Delete your StarBind account
You can permanently delete your StarBind account and all associated data at any time. This page provides the deletion path for people who do not currently have the StarBind app installed.
Have the app installed? The fastest path is in-app: open StarBind, go to Settings → Delete Account, and confirm. The result is the same as the form below.
What deletion does
When your deletion is confirmed, we perform a single database operation that removes:
- Your account record (email, password hash, birth data, username, preferences).
- All natal charts, computed transits, and AI-generated readings stored under your account.
- Your chat history with the AI guide and any dream-journal entries.
- Birth profiles you saved for other people in your circle.
- Your stardust balance and transaction history (a tax-mandated record of payments you made is retained for 10 years per Bulgarian accountancy law, but it is not linked to any of the data above).
- Your push notification tokens and notification preferences.
- Your consent records and any user-generated content.
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery period; once you confirm, the data is gone.
What we retain after deletion
As described in our Privacy Policy §2.4, we retain two things after deletion:
- A per-device counter of how many StarBind accounts have ever been created from your physical device. This counter has no link back to you and is used solely to limit account-creation abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- An anonymised audit-log entry (event type, SHA-256-hashed email, timestamp) so we can demonstrate the deletion occurred. Retained for 24 months, then automatically deleted.
Request deletion
Fill in the form below. We will send a confirmation email to the address you enter. Click the link in that email to permanently delete the account. The confirmation link expires after 24 hours.
If you cannot access your email
If the email address on your account is no longer accessible to you, please write to [email protected] with as much detail as you can about the account (approximate sign-up date, last subscription tier, any IAP receipt numbers). We will verify by other means before processing the deletion. We aim to complete out-of-band deletion requests within 30 days, per GDPR Art. 12(3).
Supervisory authority
If you are dissatisfied with how we handle your deletion request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with our lead supervisory authority: the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (КЗЛД), 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., Sofia 1592, Bulgaria, cpdp.bg.
